John Radavich arrested for killing Robert Tester
A Spokane man was arrested for using a sword and a knife in the brutal 2016 slaying of a U.S. senator’s nephew.
John A. Radavich, 22, was taken into custody by the the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office and charged with first-degree murder in the death of Robert Tester, 35, the nephew of incumbent U.S. Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.).
The senator’s nephew was viciously attacked and received “chop wounds” to his head, stomach area and chest, according to the medical examiner.
The victim’s 8-year-old daughter was home at the time and reportedly witnessed part of the vile act. She was not injured, and was later unable to identify the suspect, who she said wore all black.
The girl said she was in bed when the crime took place. She told deputies the intruder had a sword and a knife. She also said the man told her to remain in bed because he was going to kill her father, according to KREM2.
